I have a lot of leadership transitions this year as I only have 4.5 months remaining on the APHA Exec Board. My life is going to look totally different by mid-November.

I made my schedule for the APHA's Annual Meeting & Expo and I’m excited for a couple of reasons: 1. My 12,000 public health friends are coming to Atlanta (🥰) 2. I’m doing the heavy lifting of presenting for the first time since grad school (🙃) 3. My Executive Board term comes to an end (🥹)

It was an incredible honor to serve as the APHAStudentAssembly Chair over the past year. Getting to represent student voices for APHA and meet incredible public health professionals from all over the world was an experience I’ll never forget! #APHA2023 ❤️

Today marks the end of my time on the APHA Executive Board. So blessed to have had the opportunity to serve APHA during an unprecedented time and I’ll always cherish the memories I created with these amazing groups of volunteer leaders and public health professionals!

We are sad #APHA2023 is over but this isn't goodbye! Connect with members through APHA Lead or social media, prepare a submission for #APHA2024, or volunteer on a PHEHP committee.

They are amazing and I’m blessed to have shared space with them. This was a moment…watching former Asian-American student leader pass the gavel to a grassroots black woman leader was emotional…I literally cried. Chris Chanyasulkit thank you for such a GROUNDBREAKING moment 😭

Transparency moment. Today was emotional. I cried most of the day cause I don’t know what it feels like to not be a leader in APHA since February 2009. My Pisces Sun jumped all the way out…just crying. I promise I’ll be okay but this will be an adjustment 😭😭😭

Ive served alongside some amazing leaders APHA but want to give a special shout out to the badass women from the 2019 cohort, thanks for being by my side the past 4 years: committees, zoom mtgs, karaoke, and mtgs around the country. Ya’ll are amazing! #APHA2023
