I had to "pimp up" the HUD a bit. It's good to know about the damages and tire/brake conditions so I'll know why couldn't I stop in time and why did I spin during cornering. In case you wanted to know, the race-flag indicator is animating from code, so it's "smooth" :)

Ok, let's start with this. The Williams was a test mule so far. This was the first car that I modeled about 3 years ago. The mesh is complete now, so the livery. ... I just noticed that this one has red and white numbers, so I'll have to deal with that..

The "first" car is special, because I have to figure out/finalize all the little setup details that I can follow with the rest of the pack. This one is coming along nicely, but it still needs a few days of love.

So, the "McLoud Henna" is almost finished. There are still plenty of small setup stuffs, but it's getting drivable. There are still technical issues here and there. And yes, now the game supports different liveries. ;)

Half of the pack is finished, 6 more cars to go. It's finally taking shape. Quite slowly, but there is something :) #gamedev #IndieGameDev #hungame

Today in my retro corner: HobbyGUI I made this framework in 2004 in one month, using only pure Win32 API. The whole stuff works identical to the Delphi's Visual Component Library. My best choice was to avoid MFC and make my own. I never regretted it, I'm still using it today.

Thanks to dan e I started to fret about turbos... Well I made a quick test, which is not 100% yet, but I kinda love it. 1035hp. I had to increase the wing angles to make the car stick to the ground :) #gamedev #indiegame #hungame #simracing

This might be boring already, but I had to rewrite the keyboard assist for the 4th time, and it became even more drivable. Getting very close to GP2/3 that I liked so much :)

I started thinking about the replays. First, the particles needed a little rework so they could be saved too. Not that fancy but now I have a dedicated place for emitting so they can be included in the replay stream easily.

There is a "Pit assist" option that you can turn off, so you must park yourself. And yes, you can move on if you like, but calculate with the consequences :) If wing screws are not tightened properly they get loose pretty soon...

This could be a scene from my favorite book "What Do People Do All Day?" Then again it's not funny! The AI is terrible again. The version that drives carefully is too lame at the start. With this one you have no chance for a dive-bomb, but it is not good either...
