There’s a special place in heaven for certain ppl in schools: 1. Middle school teachers 2. Pleasant receptionists 3. KG teachers who have 20 kids reading by the end of the yr 4. Custodians who clean baseboards & take the time to talk to students What are some others?

Teaching middle school doesn’t just require a special license; it also requires a pretty unique person who has to be ready for anything.

If we are not excited about teaching a lesson, how do we expect students to get excited about learning it?

For every teacher saying, "I dread work tomorrow" there are many more students saying, "I dread that teacher's class tomorrow."

Our professional mandate is to keep students engaged...not keep them busy.

I bet students hate when a teacher plans an engaging lesson for a scheduled evaluation then goes back to the same boring crap the next day.

If instruction stops after the high stakes test, it's hard to believe your argument that teaching is more than a test score.

There's a BIG difference in students learning "bell to bell" and staying busy bell to bell.

The person in a classroom that does the most talking usually does the most learning.

It’s amazing how many experts on education there are on Facebook. They have never been in a classroom in over a decade and don’t hold a teaching degree, but WOW…they sure know a lot!! 🙄
