Honestly the thing that motivated me to do this episode was learning that there's less than $200M/year of smart philanthropy on factory farming - GLOBALLY. Just to explain how fucking crazy that is: 1. It's insane how cheap the interventions that will spare BILLIONS of animals

If the solution to making Delhi's roads stray dogs free is two random judges sitting on their throne and saying "make Delhi's roads dog free" why don't they also say "make Delhi's air 10 AQI" and expect it to happen overnight?

Cruelty has never solved a problem, locking them up is failure of humanity. Supreme Court has done one of the laziest things today, where rather than addressing a broken municipal governance system, has punished the voiceless. So easy, so bizarre, so ruthless.

Dwarkesh's fundraiser to fight factory farming has now raised over $1M! ($535K doubled by the match.) I'm very grateful to Dwarkesh Patel, Patrick Collison, and all the other generous donors! This funding will impact millions of animals' lives.

The SC’s directive to remove all stray dogs from Delhi-NCR is a step back from decades of humane, science-backed policy. These voiceless souls are not “problems” to be erased. Shelters, sterilisation, vaccination & community care can keep streets safe - without cruelty. Blanket

Only if all the single use cars choking our roads with traffic, poisoning the air we breathe and causing a record number traffic deaths every year, could be captured and permanently put in shelters...

There is a false polarisation being created between Dogs, Animal lovers vs Children and Other Citizens. Here are some submissions we placed in Applications before the Supreme Court today.

BMLTA will not review and approve the BBMP Tunnel proposal (see letters below) Although DULT (BMLTA's Secretariat) questioned the need for Tunnel Road, it will still be imposed on the city without scrutiny. Now or never situation prevails. Think & take action Bengaluru 🙏🏼

The estimated total density of dogs within PMC limits in Jan 2023 was 1,79,940. This is a whopping 42.7% decrease since 2018. This could be due to many factors, but the biggest one is a sustained, volunteer driven, city-wide ABC program.

Shiv Aroor Receiving payments & stock options from abroad. Very simple - if ur a software engineer and you want to EARN from abroad. The process is impossible. Because of RBI regulations. People are willing to pay tax in India and do everything it takes...but it is impossible for an Indian

School zones in Mumbai absolutely need to be walkable. We often see videos of hyper-independent Japanese primary schoolers traveling kilometers alone on public transport, and we envy how amazing it is. Not only that the kids reach school safely, but that they also get to explore

Bizarre! What kind of explanation is this? How can anyone editing a file on their personal computer change the electoral rolls held by the ECI and prevent people from voting? Shocking that the CEC, an IIT graduate, gave this explanation of a ‘machine readable’ file.
