Over the thousands of people I’ve talked to over the past year. You know what never, ever comes up? The Jews. It’s a complete fabrication of foreign X accounts.

Ask yourself. Have you ever heard an actual person in your actual life blame Jews for anything?

For 500 years in English, if you want to be a writer, you can be. You need natural talent, which you can’t control, but then, you need to be writing every moment you are awake. It has to be everything. That’s the deal.

I would if I could. Or paint. Show clearly that I have some unique gift. Writers don’t get that.

The English language is a magic trick. It can do anything.

I’ve been asked why I couldn’t refuse. It wasn’t money. It’s because they have largest audience in the English language and it’s not behind a paywall. No writer could resist that.

The times I’ve written behind a paywall I’ve always had readers reach out and say, I can’t afford this. It’s why the Federalist, my ancestral home, is still so important. I get people used to pay for the newspaper. But, it’s different now.

The Federalist team from 2016-2020 is like the Bill Walsh coaching tree. From Fox, to NY Post, to Unherd, RCP, Post Millennial, even the Atlantic. It was grad school. And it was beautiful.
