Despite what the notices say Westward Road, Stroud is not being closed for 5 days. This is for a lining job which could take a single day. I'm told this is weather dependent (hence it's 'booked' for 5 days) but hoped to do the job on day one and lift the road closure thereafter.

Great to see that both of the underpasses under Hunters Way in Cashes Green now have new lighting installed and working. Residents have been concerned about this for a long time. Many thanks to the Glos Roads Street Lighting Team for responding to requests and sorting this out.

From Tues 27 August - 29 Jan 2025 Network Rail will close some parking spaces at #Stroud Station and remove and refurbish the footbridge before putting it back in position. There will be a temporary footbridge in this period. A feasibility study on lifts has also been approved.

It is good news that the public can use the Ebley visitor's car park, but the town centre level charges are harsh for residents who work nights, shifts, and come and go between 8am - 6pm. I hope that gets reviewed and residents are prioritised.

Approval has now been given for the closure of a section of Butterow Hill at the same time as Butterow Lane in period 4 Nov - 13 Dec to enable parking. There will be pedestrian access and diversions in operation. The closures now both appear on the Gloucestershire roadworks map.
