On Thursday, the City lowered the flag at City Hall to half-staff to honor Mrs. Eula Battle, Huntsville’s beloved First Lady who passed away Tuesday, October 20. All remaining flags in Huntsville will be flown at half-staff on Friday as ordered by Governor Kay Ivey's office.

During a Special Session today at City Hall, the Huntsville City Council voted 3-2 to appoint Jennie Robinson as Council President. They also voted to elect Council Member John Meredith as President Pro Tem and Council Member Bill Kling as third presiding officer.

Haysland Road Phase 2 is open. This 2-mile roadway provides a new parallel road to ease congestion on Memorial Parkway as provides direct access to Grissom HS and Redstone Arsenal. It includes a 12 ft wide multiuse path through approximately 250 acres of preserved open space.
