The aminosity towards Drill from a select few Grime artists and fans reminds me of when bitter U.K. Garage dons felt the same way about Grime smh.

bitterness and jealousy towards successful young artists is a poison that has destroyed scenes and will continue to do so as long as we value nostalgia and familiarity over innovation. culture doesn’t progress when we are looking backwards

Do not sit back an watch what’s going on, make some good songs, beats, freestyles, videos, projects and put them out. THAT is how you help grime otherwise the benefits go back to the selected few main culprits and you all complain again in 6months.

Shock. More full grown men arguing with each other on social media & calling it Grime. If I get to 40 & still make war dubs saying suck your mum please take me to one side & have a word with me.

Its great that a handful of UK Black Artists are making £££ from Rap/Drill, Afroswing, and genres the masses deem as “typically black” But what about the decline in numbers of Black artists who have solid careers in now gentrified UK Black Dance genres like DnB & Bassline?

Edward Colston statue pulled down by BLM protesters in Bristol. Colston was a 17th century slave trader who has numerous landmarks named after him in Bristol. #BlackLivesMattters #blmbristol #ukprotests
