Wake Forest vs. NC State looks like it could end in dramatic fashion. Here was my halftime report!

Momentum is a scarce commodity in the second half. The Deacs are going to need an offensive spark in the fourth quarter to steal victory from NC State. Demond Claiborne is averaging just 2.9 yards per carry tonight.

NC State is dominating time of possession in the second half, and now has the lead. Wake's offense not only trails for the first time, but desperately needs to give its defense a breather.

Desperation time is fast approaching for Wake Forest. They've failed to muster any points in the second half and have been outscored 10–0.

Wake Forest is now 2–1 on the season, and has a bye week before welcoming Georgia Tech to Winston-Salem on Sept. 27.

Following the 23-yard punt by the Deacs, Virginia Tech capitalized on the short field, taking a 7–3 lead. Offense is doing no favors for the defense so far.
