Resources that are scarce on Earth are abundant in the Solar System, such as the Asteroid Belt just beyond Mars. If this was oceanic travel, we would build a port city near the resources. Question is, how can we build a port city between Earth and the resources we need? 🚀🏭

"If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea." ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

If you want to do something exceptional, you have to be okay with being the exception. That means being misunderstood, criticized, and even hated.

HOW TO DESIGN A FACTORY Lots of talk these days about bringing back manufacturing to America. In light of that trend I've decided to give you a how-to-guide on designing a factory

Farzad The American Dream is a symbol of hope that anyone can prosper — and this is fundamentally against popular trends of nihilism and hopelessness. People would rather believe the American Dream is "dead" than look in the mirror and accept they could work harder.

In the days of European Colonization locating your naval bases was dictated by trade routes and sailing times. In the orbital economy its delta-vee and transfer orbits. Lagrange Points are like the Suez Canal for cargo freight. He who controls L2 controls the seas.🧵

How do you prepare as an astronaut for the challenges of space travel? Deep sea sailing Mars Ocean Analogs with legendary Captain Reid Mars Ocean Analogs. We set sail from Starbase, Texas and are headed across the Gulf of America to Florida. Will keep you updated on our adventure.

Kekius Maximus Starlink Our crew is currently using Starlink as we do a Mars Ocean Analog. We left Starbase, Texas 18 days ago on our sailboat and are headed to Palm Beach, Florida. We'll safely arrive in a few days. Great job Starlink team for helping us stay connected!

William Shatner Yeah, and honestly the criteria of a dwarf planet needing to "clear its orbit" and remove remaining asteroids is unnecessary. With that, at least Ceres could be promoted. This would be huge to raise awareness of our Main Asteroid Belt.

Remake Pluto into a planet and add Ceres in the Main Asteroid Belt while we're at it. The "clearing orbit" criteria is unnecessary and this would inspire loads of kids and adults to discover the Solar System.

How can dry and desert areas of Texas learn from this? Greg Abbott has taken care of the economy and education. These kinds of projects could help with droughts and reduce wild fires. This could save Texans billions in the long run.

Critical materials are getting harder to find on Earth. Good thing space is full of them. Asteroids: a crash course on why we’re chasing them 🧵

Traditional schools zoom in too tightly on subjects. To be useful, we need to zoom out and see how knowledge relates to other fields. It's a superpower to see how much ideas re-appear across disciplines. Schools of tomorrow must be built on this foundation.

Eventually, almost every Earth‑based career will have a space‑based version. But first we have to solve the transportation problem. After a fleet of rapidly reusable rockets, the new challenge will be solving the space energy problem.
