meet Andrew Hollingworth with Blackthorn Focus on evening of May 14th in central London. Reading the thread below, I'm not sure it's entirely out of his system. Hear his perspective on stock selection, fund management and yes, research regulation. Apply: blackthornfocus.com/blackthorn-eve…

good example of the state of UK smallcap markets. Market cap of FIH Group #FIH is £30m. Spread is massive 240p:280p but trade printed at 267p i.e. spread is false. Exchange Market Size (300) not London Stock Exchange stock page i.e. investors have little steer on likely price and size.
next expert session: Ben Weaver of Asset Match in August. Ben works at the heart of the UK private equity market. He is thus at the sharp end of one of the most powerful trends in the UK economy as capital moves to private markets. Apply for a place: blackthornfocus.com/blackthorn-eve…
brilliant hearing again from Ben Weaver last night at Fuller's #FSTA pavilionend . Asset Match and the whole 'intermittent market' concept is a fascinating component of the UK capital markets scene. Learn more about Asset Match here: assetmatch.com

most free-to-consumer investor content is dross: a dangerous mirage for those new to the markets and looking to learn. However, the content from JKR Investing (youtube.com/channel/UChsut…) and the Paul Hill/Paul Scott combo (youtube.com/watch?v=ED66hv…) are both brilliant.
IG comes out against cash ISAs, arguing not only that the allowance should be cut but they "should be phased out altogether". Would surely bring thousands of elderly into Self Assessment. Your thoughts please Martin Lewis
