Congratulations Makia Green! You’ve been selected for the TOP 25 list for the BVBJ Fellowship. Green is a Black liberation organizer with Black Lives Matter DC and @workingfamilies. Green fights to abolish the prison state and end intra-community violence and wealth inequality.

Congratulations Zyahna Bryant! You’ve been selected for the TOP 25 list for the BVBJ Fellowship. Bryant is an author, community organizer and activist studying at the University of Virginia. Bryant currently serves on the inaugural Virginia African American Advisory Board.

Congratulations Trinice McNally! You’ve been selected for the TOP 25 list for the BVBJ Fellowship. McNally is an organizer, activist and student affairs professional. She is the founder of the @ncnwhq, co-founder of UNCF and founding director of the CDIMA at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC).

Congrats Natalie Smith, you’ve been named as an HONORABLE MENTION for the BVBJ Fellowship! Smith is the Founder and CEO of Global Citizens Public Charter School, a D.C.dual language immersion elementary school opening in the fall of 2021. Smith has 20 years of experience working in local public schools.
