idk if this opinion is wrong or not but Susannah treated Belly so much like her daughter that she never allowed Laurel and Belly to bond that way, and I feel a lot of times the distance that bridges between them was because Laurel allowed Susannah to be like a mother for belly.

the summer i turned pretty episode 5 in a nutshell: conrad helping belly solving problems vs jeremiah being a problem

notice how conrad didn’t shoot a firework at them very demure very mindful

oh but Jeremiah throwing a firework at them when they were about to kiss was not weird as hell man? or probably when he was staring down at them like absolute mad hatter when they were dating and not even as clingy as whatever the hell jelly tried to do

didn’t Jeremiah say I love you and prove the exact opposite by sleeping with someone else TWICE a second after they broke up then came back and gave her a cheap gift to hide his deed. Didn’t Jeremiah forget to check an EMAIL and not graduate but no Conrad’s unreliable

just me who thinkings it was the actor and not the character? like yes I do have doubts he’ll cheat again this time cheat cheat probably misunderstanding something between bell and Conrad and then messing up something like that but this feels like the actor more.

idk how to explain it but I feel Jeremiah was the right boyfriend for Belly as a teenager in her end of school years and college freshman years. I do believe that Conrad and her are meant to be together more as adults after or during the middle of achieving great things in life
