Wonderful to be at St Joseph's in Douro today and celebrate Mass for Nine Ships 1825 . It was a privilege to bless the new monument, erected to commemorate the settlers from the Peter Robinson immigration.

Hallelujah! The scaffolding is officially down from our Cathedral of Saint Peter-in-Chains, restoring the magnificent view. There couldn't be a better time to visit the Cathedral and stamp your Jubilee Year passport!

Great Official Opening for Nine Ships 1825 , bicentennial of the Peter Robinson Emigration- including the flag raising at City Hall and blessing the Heritage Center (at Doyle Hall) afterwards.

We concluded the Nine Ships 1825 Peter Robinson Bicentennial with a Mass at our Cathedral this morning. A quick photo on the steps afterwards with Fr Tom Lynch and members of the Nine Ships Committee. It was a wonderful 10 days of celebration!

Enjoyed my visit to the churches of St John the Baptist in Morinus and St. Michael's in Rosseau today. Especially enjoyed the boat ride between them, courtesy of Paul Barnicke and family!

Dr. Anne Jamieson of ICE and I were pleased to join bishops and educators today in meeting Cardinal Antoine Kambanda and Dr Jean-Paul Niyigena, representing the African Compact on Education. A wonderful 2 hour meeting exploring common issues and possible collaborations.

Hundreds came out to our Diocesan Pilgrimage to Martyrs' Shrine on a beautiful, sunny Saturday. It was a wonderful day with Mass, Stations of the Cross and learning about the Canadian Martyrs!
