#NationalBiscuitDay Battlefield Biscuit At the Museum we have this ration biscuit, issued to Private G Lucas when he served in Quetta, Northern India in 1911. Hardtack biscuits were made from flour, water, and salt and is a food that lasts 25 years or more if stored properly. Yum!

Wishing you all a very happy #NationalBiscuitDay! This document from the Ministry of Munitions Disposal Board shows that enormous quantities of Army surplus were sold to German entrepreneurs, including 5,000,000lbs of Army Ration Biscuits!
