Reviewing for MDPI is a waste of time and a corruption of the scientific peer review process. Yesterday I sent back a second major revision, frustrated that the authors had ignored many of my comments. Today, paper is accepted. What a farce.

Well, the cat is out of the bag now! I will be joining @ECoBird_UGent as a postdoc to work on cognition, welfare and maybe conservation in birds. New place, new group & new animal models = new and exciting research to come. I am very excited to start this new chapter!

2 of our manuscripts were rejected yesterday after being under review (as per the journal) for 3 months. For one the reason was that they did not find any reviewers and for the other they invited #18 reviewers and we got reviews from only 2. This system needs a revamp Badly.
