Great couple of hours in Cornwall with 59 species. Highlights were long-tailed duck, lots of waders at Marazion, purple sandpiper, water pipit and a selection of gulls at Hayle.

What a day to remember. My 250th bird on my life list was the Grey-headed lapwing. I adore lapwings and plovers and it felt like such a privilege to see this little cutie showing so well and even flew in front of us calling! I don’t know what is going to top this.

Has anyone of my followers used the BirdWeather PUC for Nocmig or know anyone who has? Looking for reviews on whether it is worth it.

A brilliant afternoon/evening in Devon. First stop Emsworthy to see the 2 cuckoos, redstarts (1 f and 5 m), wheatears and lots of meadow pipits. Onto Slapton at dusk and saw the night heron! ✅
