This morning, May 18, one of the Owlets fledged after accidentally slipping from the nest platform. While this fledge wasn't intentional, the owlets are now old enough (5-6 weeks old) to navigate the surrounding territory. Read more in this clip! youtu.be/XuWKehgbdn0

Thanks to Bill J. Boyd for this photo of the fledgling on the morning after slipping from the nest. The young owl seems to be doing well, and it has since moved on from its position below the nest site to explore the territory around the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

What an amazing season, culminating in both owlets fledging (albeit one a little early!) We're thankful for our partners at Wildflower Center and to all the viewers out there that followed along. We'll be shutting down the stream at 3PM ET/2PM CT. Till next season!🤞

6/11 BR departed the nest 02:46. Another Milestone as the O's spent a portion of their first night on the nest without Adults. BOG Wevans reports BR on ETT2, out of Big Cam view, watching over the nest. Many thanks Wevans for the report! And all is well in CornellHawks Land.
