Higher degree by research students in Australia work full-time hours but receive $11.7k below the minimum wage. The Universities Accord recommended that the higher degree by research stipend should be increased to support junior researchers, we are campaigning for that to happen!

A new Ecosystem Science study has used AI to count a gathering, or rather a flamboyance, of 532,197 flamingos in Botswana 🦩 The research highlights how AI can improve the method of animal counts and the importance of the Makgadikgadi Pans as a flamingo habitat. unsw.edu.au/newsroom/news/…
