For the Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) in the class I’m coordinating we’re simulating hurricane flooding and storm surges that occur in the longleaf pine savanna. Today we inundated Little Bluestem with freshwater and saltwater and we’ll see how they fare!

Today, we teamed up with theatre to learn about plant-based dyes! Not only are our native plants powerful medicinal and culinary ingredients, but they can color more than just our landscapes. Fun workshop curtesy of Tara Webb UNCG Theatre
