Adrian Morejon has almost been a Padre for a decade now… We’ve seen it all with his development and battles through injuries Brings a smile to my face to see him perform at the highest level on the biggest stage… He’s been doing it all year long 🤷‍♂️

Broke away from watching the Aztecs leading at Fresno State to tune into one of the best things in sports -- the salute to the children at the Children's Hospital in Iowa City at the end of the first quarter of Iowa home games. That moment always grabs me. Humanity!

THIS KID RAN THE FULL FIELD CHASED THE PLAYER DOWN, STRIPPED THE BALL, AND THEN RAN THE FULL FIELD BACK FOR A TOUCHDOWN. BEST PLAY OF THE ENTIRE YEAR, REMARKABLE. 😱😱😱

So, so sad to hear this. Randy took such incredible care of me when I first got to SD. All those Social Hour shows and so much time off to the side. I learned so much from him. Beyond that, a true early star for this franchise. Sending love to Marie and their family 🤎💛.

We lost a #Padre great today. Randy Jones was a great guy and had one of the most effective sinkers I've ever seen. Fans loved him and it was reciprocal. One of #Padres two greatest ambassadors ... and a good friend. This dark day but wonderful memories: padres.mlblogs.com/randy-jones-wa…

Randy Jones and Tony Gwynn shared a great trait. They lit up the room. Didn't have to be about baseball. When they started talking, smiles broke out. Praying here that they can share some of their stories in the great beyond. RIP good friends and legendary souls.

Just reviewed my Hall of Fame ballot for two hours. For first time since I started voting in 1992, there's not one candidate that I truly believe is totally worthy of being in the Hall of Fame. Going to review this list for weeks.

Memories: When I was 6, my parents bought a house on Thorn east of 54th. Just before Thanksgiving, I got my first dog named Fletcher. Sadly he died 3 days later. I was crushed. We buried him under a tree behind my bedroom. Drove by recently. Tree is huge. Fletcher lives!

Just finished my sixth year covering Del Mar for San Diego Union Tribune. Couldn't have done it without onsite insight from friends like Bob Ike, Jon Lindo, Jay Privman, Jay Posner and Steve Anderson.
