Something I think people who drive get wrong about biking is that sure, sometimes it takes longer, but the bike ride often becomes part of the experience in its own right. These photos are from a ride I took today that I didn’t realize would be so beautiful.

Today someone was driving in the bike lane thinking about parking and I dinged my bell and yelled “Get out of the bike lane!” And they actually did?! I feel very powerful now.

Sometimes when I’m annoyed by drivers parking in the bike lane, I look at photos of cars blocking hydrants with hoses through them.

Not everyone lives the same way you do, and that’s okay. Everyone who wants a walkable life deserves the opportunity to build one. streets.mn/2019/09/24/not…

Y'all. I made a photo essay of me biking in fancy clothes and in cold and while hauling all sorts of things. You can do anything on a bike. streets.mn/2019/10/10/how…

My One Weird Trick™️ to get cars to move out of the bike lane: - Pull up behind them on your bike - Ding your bell and loudly state, “Please move.” - Tap on their rear bumper - Say “please move” again as needed I’ve found that 80% of occupied cars will move.
