One reason why I think it’s important to continue to highlight the absurdity on our streets is that most people just don’t see it. Despite it being obvious to some, so many don't have real clarity because we have done such an incredible job of normalizing this imbalance.

Cycling is as reasonable a mode of transport as any, and deserves the same respect and expectation for safety. #RoadSafety #GiveTimeGiveSpace #Cycling m.independent.ie/irish-news/i-r…

Parking like this is so dangerous. Other drivers will claim "the pedestrian came out of nowhere" as the victim is bleeding in the crosswalk waiting for an ambulance. Park legally so other drivers can clearly see the corners of the sidewalks/crosswalks.

See how few cars are parked on the bike path if you make it not look like part of the roadway that someone bolted a curb to? Put vegetation, street furniture, posts between the bike lane and the roadway.

Children's voices are notably absent from discussions around LTNs, safe bike lanes & other traffic calming measures that make active travel possible for them. There is a huge demographic for walking & cycling to which we're deliberately & institutionally deaf...

The only thing stopping our kids from safely biking from A-B is the roads, not their ability. Today’s Haringey Cycling ride proved that, with riders from age 3 to their 80s! If we want to reduce traffic, safe sts for cycling are the only way forward. Let’s give everyone freedom!

If anyone tells you that cities with huge amounts of cycling and public transport are a). impossible b). too expensive c). too complicated etc etc, well greetings to them all from a rooftop in #Utrecht. 40,000 bicycles use this junction EVERY DAY. #nowtellmeitsimpossible

Take note: Those who always loudly and repeatedly claim that the reason more people don't cycle in Ireland is Bcoz of the weather - those people have continued to drive everywhere in the last few weeks while it's been dry and sunny. It's not about the weather!
