Self advocates Nathaniel and Gordon attended Lewisham Speaking Ups People's Parliament today. The subject was Housing, which is Speak Out's big focus campaign issue for 2024/5.

Speak Out were delighted to welcome Bella Sankey, leader of Brighton and Hove City Council to our AGM. The successful evening was user led and demonstrated the great work we do supporting people with learning disabilities to speak up.

Speak Out were recently involved in the making of the Impact of Advocacy, a film produced by Learning Disability England and Speakup Self-Advocacy.

Rachel, a Trainee Clinical Psychologist from the University of Surrey is looking to hear about how people develop romantic relationships.

You must:

Our members (and Will our CEO) loved meeting the therapy chickens yesterday! Interacting with animals can be hugely beneficial to our mental health and stroking animals such as these beautiful chickens has been found to improve our overall wellbeing.
