Last year, I called on Class I railroads to participate in better reporting systems to improve rail safety. Glad to see progress here as 1,000 Norfolk Southern workers enter this new program to help identify and report close calls.

Right now, we have bipartisan leadership in Congress working to get rail safety legislation passed. But we need the rest of Congress to step up and pass this critical legislation.
