Yes, exactly. A lot of the "countryside being slower" talk is just because it's mainly the retired saying it. Otherwise, you spend all your time running for one of the three buses a day, which you'll miss. If you retired in a city, your pace of life would probably slow down.

Just been reminded about the horrible connection times at Tonbridge on Steve White Southeastern! This is the best connection time there is when coming from the coast. The line would be so much more useful with a reasonable connection time at Tonbridge; compare it to Redhill!
