The Ontario Science Centre was shuttered on June 21, 2024, with the Ontario government claiming that a structural roof issue made it unsafe. New documents suggest that the engineers inspecting the roof didn't agree. canadianarchitect.com/draft-engineer… canadianarchitect.com/draft-engineer…

Congrats to Francis Scarpaleggia on this important role. Have every expectation he will serve as Speaker just as he’s served as an MP: measured, thoughtful, and with kindness and decency.

Marc Garneau was my role model, mentor, 30-plus year close friend and a brave and exemplary Canadian for us all. My heart goes out to his family. The world has lost a very good man.

On D-Day, 14,000 Canadians landed at Juno Beach, supported by the Royal Canadian Navy and the RCAF. The day saw 1,074 Canadian casualties, including 359 killed. It was a watershed moment in human history. Here are Canadians stories from that day. 📸 LAC PA-132790 🧵1/15

Eid Mubarak! A beautiful day and incredible turnout in Dentonia Park. As I told the crowd, I remain committed to being a voice for peace, justice and human rights both here at home and abroad. Special shout out to Kazi Saki, very thankful for his friendship and service.

As we commemorate D-Day, join local Legionnaires and Cadets this Sunday as we march from Norway Public School at 1:30 pm to a 2 pm memorial service at St. John's Norway Cemetery.

A D-Day memorial service to honour all those who served and sacrificed to reclaim Juno Beach in what marked the beginning of the end of the Nazis and WWII. We owe all those who served in WWII a debt of gratitude.

Empty words without action. Listening, learning, and partnership are ongoing commitments that the Premier ignores every other day of the year.

Canada will always be a work in progress and it’s also an incredible success. We are lucky to live here. Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time to make today's celebrations happen. Happy Canada Day!

There’s no doubt we need serious reform in Canada — from primary care to pharmacare and more. But let’s be clear: our system is still eons more fair than what’s unfolding in the U.S., where nearly 17 million people could lose health coverage. Grateful to speak with Bernie Sanders

Lucky to have so many great events in our community. Enjoyed The Danny Loves Music tonight in East Lynn. They are back next Wednesday for the final week. And the street Jazz Fest starts next Thursday.
