October 20-26 is Invisibility Awareness Week. I've launched a new platform for people with hidden illnesses & disabilities (of which there are >900). It's called HIDDEN, the Hidden Illness & Disability Directory of Entrepreneurs & Nurturers. bexiphd.com/pages/hidden

Did you know your gastrointestinal tract is regulated by your autonomic nerves, which is why so many people with dysautonomia have GI symptoms? #DysautonomiaAwarenessMonth #31DaysofDys

Representation of invisible illness & disability, such as #dysautonomia, matters... It's one of the reasons I chose to create the Hidden Illness & Disability Directory of Entrepreneurs & Nurturers, HIDDEN. bexiphd.com/pages/hidden

This shouldn't be shocking but it is because industry has severed and mutilated our relationship to food. Food = the building blocks your body needs to repair and grow Junk in = junk out And yes, you CAN feed your skin from the outside in using whole foods.

I felt great at the time of this picture, but felt awful for 2 days after. #sjogrensdisease and #dysautonomia may be invisible and rarely talked about but that doesn't mean they don't greatly reduce my quality of life and aren't common.

Women’s health is less researched than men’s because women are considered more complicated to study than men. Because research informs how doctors recognize, manage, and treat disease, women receive poorer health care than men do. bexiphd.com/blogs/news/wom…
