Jesus says that he is THE good shepherd, the ONLY good shepherd, not just A good shepherd

The word used for 'good' means noble, righteous, beautiful. It describes Jesus' character as shepherd

John 10:14-16. Listen to Jesus' voice, learn to recognise it, and become a part of the flock He laid down His life for.

This is a two-way relationship of love, devotion, sacrifice. John 10:14 - 'I know my sheep and my sheep know me'

We are safe in Jesus' protection and care - John 10:29 '...no-one can snatch them out of my Father's hand'

Faith's Object - Jesus might not answer our prayers with the exact outcome, timing etc that we desire, but we must remember that ... (1/2)

...Jesus IS Lord, He DOES love us, and He WILL answer our prayers - in His wisdom, love, grace, plans. (2/2)

Faith's Outcome - God being glorified, God's people coming closer to the cross, the good news being shared, new believers coming to faith
