I saw this sign when I walked into a school this morning. We can’t always control our circumstances, but if we remember these two things in 2019... we will make our corner of the world a better place.

Some days it doesn’t feel like I’m making a difference. Sometimes it seems like I’m just trying to keep my head above water. But I will keep going. The students need us to keep going.

The power of the pivot.

Kids go just about anywhere for validation. If you want to connect with a kid… find reasons to praise them. We all like hanging around others who make us feel good about ourselves.

What God is about to do in your life is not going to be done in a corner, in secret, where nobody notices. People are going to see the favor, see the healing, the protection, the promotion, the abundance.

Have a student you're struggling with & you're out of ideas? Try the 'two-by-ten' strategy: For two minutes each day, 10 days in a row, have a personal conversation with the #student about anything the student is interested in, but NO school or behavior. #edchat #education

A mom told me today that high fives makes her daughter feel good. And I was reminded of how easily we can brighten a kid’s day. I need to give more high fives.

To anybody who’s reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind right now. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life.

God is about to do something unusual, something that you’ve never seen: promotion that you didn’t work for, good breaks that you didn’t deserve. You can’t explain it; you can’t take credit for it. It’s the favor of God.

Get your fire back; put a smile on your face. Start moving forward. You thought it was over and done, but God has a new beginning, a new relationship, a new dream, something more rewarding than you’ve ever imagined.

2023-2024 team is a special group. 30-5 3rd place finish in 3A State. Played 19 State Ranked teams and winning 14 of the 19. 5-0 in the city of Peoria, 9-1 Big 12 conference. Its been a heck of a ride. Do not try to diminish their accomplishments, but applaud them. #309weback
