We were absolutely delighted to present Celtic captain Callum McGregor with a gift from the Bertie Auld Legacy today after reaching the phenomenal milestone of 500 games in the green and white hoops this season

John made his Celtic debut in 1959 and would go on to make well over 300 appearances in the hoops, with his finest hour coming in the heat of Lisbon in May, 1967. While John was one of our greatest, he never saw himself as that, his own humility never allowing him to do so 💚🦁

Everyone at the Bertie Auld Legacy are saddened to hear about the passing of Celtic legend and Lisbon Lion, John Clark. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at our charity are with John’s family at this sad time 🙏🏻💚
