My office was right by the encampment, and I cannot understand how it interferes with exams. It’s that little red circle.

Not a single notable the protest in the history of modern protest would meet the requirements of “acceptable” protest from many past free speech advocates.

UK politics is still in some ways stuck in 2018, unable to fully comprehend the choices that have to be made around Brexit, and hoping there is some magic politically saleable solution. There wasn't then, there isn't now, and until we accept this, progress will be very slow...

One thing about the UK's slowdown is most of it was also experienced by peer countries. So the bit left to explain is about 0.5-1ppt per year.

If most of a 4ppt Brexit prod shock has come through, then about half of the slowdown vs Europe is down to that

An illustration abt why AI-driven social network feeds will never be anything like news orgs. I revile Jill Stein, horrible impact on American public life. She did not make this Poland comment. Didn't happen. And yet it's still a lead in Twitter's (sorry X's) AI news aggreator.
