What a season Will Hatfield is having so far at Darlington FC! 🥅⚽️ Referenced before the season started of his ability to break late in to the box, and the goal additions so far this season do not disappoint!: 👏👏👏

Some service from Rivers from 2019 - 2025. Excellent work-rate but time is probably right now. Those post-Jan Cam Salkeld performances in 23/24 should not be forgotten. Dragged us to safety along with Main. Injuries also robbed Nelson of a career in pro football. Good luck lads.

Love the way this Chester side is balanced. Bainbridge breaking it up to balance out the tempo-setting of Weeks. Murray connecting the midfield & attack. Mottley-Henry sheer pace & Peers who is a physical outlet up top. Got Scunthorpe on the ropes at the min.

Blyth Spartans are having to cut their player & management budget by 55% to just £133k for 25/26. Will likely be competitive at Step 4 but highlights the dangerous cycle of relegation & decreasing attendances.

Ben Pearson You've got such a lovely writing style, Ben, if you don't mind me saying. You present your opinions well, but you knit the "stats" with them so that it isn't just purely a list of numbers. Enjoy your pieces.

These two centre-backs. Strong in ground duels & ever-improving in the air. Equally as impressive carrying the ball out from defence & progressing the ball with their range of passing. Strongest DFC centre back partnership since NPL 15/16 Brown & Burgess.

Oldham play-off winners with an ageing starting 11. In general terms, the average age of any squad is an over-rated metric as part of the squad-building process when attempting to put together a side to win promotion from the NL & N/S divisions, with small exceptions.

31 July 2022 & Pools finish 17th in the EFL & close the period with £1.7m in the bank. Fast forward 3 years as they finish 10th in the National League & the bank balance has sunk that low they require a £215k loan from Clarence 18 Ltd to pay May’s payroll bill of £122k.

Gateshead will live to regret not keeping Rutledge permanently. Alun should have pulled the transfer (should have been a loan) but instead Darlo have bagged a centre-forward capable of scoring 20+ a season at Step 2 at just 24 y/o. Unreal bit of business for the Quakers.

Stuart Armstrong + the media team have simply taken DFC’s social media engagement up several levels and well in to the modern era. You love to see it.
