I made a purely vibes based chart of which F1 drivers I think are friends. Of note is that Daniel Ricciardo has the highest friend score, and I'm pretty sure that Lance Stroll isn't even friends with himself.

Turning 22 next Monday, so I decided to celebrate with a hockey trip to Sweden to see a couple prospects live. Four games in four days.

I was at this game live. DIF was completely out of it until Eklund started to assert himself in the second half of the game. All eyes were on #38 every time he hopped over the boards. Really fun game to watch.

New interactive shot plots for Neil Pierre-Louis! Using a d3 ice rink package by Alexandra Mandrycky, I re-created the click-to-video shot plots, added heatmaps, and a toggle for goal strength. Super happy with how this one turned out!

The main goal of my exchange semester in Finland was to watch lots of live European hockey. In total, I saw 1 game every 3.33 days, spanning 2 countries, 7 cities, and 10 rinks. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

I enjoyed working on Neil Pierre-Louis this past year; I did work I'm proud of and hopefully provided something useful to the hockey community. Neil's a heck of a guy for making it happen. That said, I'm stoked to be back in the NHL as a hockey systems fellow for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
