When we were working on Jessica's Big Little World's 'Drawing Time' episode, I wanted to take inspiration from 'Stickin' Around' - a classic Canadian cartoon I loved as a kid.

A new batch of Cartoon Network's Jessica's Big Little World were released last week... Here are a handful of backgrounds I painted (line art by the talented BG design team).

Jessica's Picnic aired today - it was probably my favorite episode to art direct on Jessica's Big Little World. Lots of very specific palettes to really emphasize the story. Everything came together from character & BG design to color. I wish we could make more! #craigofthecreek

Nick is an actual rockstar when it comes to designing characters. Everything just always looks so good!

Kitty Pryde aka Shadowcat - My design is inspired by my favorite Kitty looks: the X-Men Evolution and Ultimate X-Men outfit. The latter is one of the few that has a cat motif, which I think is underused with the character!

FIVE more Jessica's Big Little World episodes will air April 8-12th at 8AM (I believe)! Be sure to check them out - my favorite episode is in this batch!
