Havinv read the letter Hendy wrote, and despite having at times being in receipt of his unrestrained responses, he has a point. Either Gareth Dennis is a journalist or is a contracted engineer. He cannot be both & expect to have total freedom about what he writes. Or am I wrong?

Just an observation, but if Eton are passing all the VAT on to parents - who I'm sure will happily continue to pay £63000 p/a to addle their children - then the school itself will actually profit on all the things they can now claim VAT against.
