Thank you so much to everyone who supported BellevillePTA Festival of Friendship on Friday. It was a brilliant afternoon full of food, friendship and culture, with opportunities to learn about so many of the cultures represented within the Belleville community.

We are so proud of Year 3 and Year 2 who have been working on their composition and performance skills in music. Year 3 composed music in 2/4 time and notated it on the stave. Year 2 composed 4 bars of rhythms in 2/4 time and added pictures of pitches they wanted to use.

Fantastic morning at Tooting Bec Athletics Stadium with our Year 5 and 6 Sports Day. The children took part in sprint races, triple jump, vortex and welly boot throwing! Well done to all the children and staff and thank you to the parents and carers who came along to support.

Today we're celebrating World Music Day or Fête de la Musique, an annual celebration which takes place on 21 June. Children and staff have enjoyed dressing up in musical themed clothes to represent the following musical genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock and Roll, Disco, and Funk.

Many congratulations to the school orchestra who were some of the youngest performers at the @wandsworthartsfringe Festival as part of the Schools' Summer Music Showcase with Wandsworth Music . They performed the Blue Danube Waltz and the Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book.

Three of our Year 5 girls represented Belleville in the National Final of the French Primary Bee at the University of Cambridge last Tuesday. They were in the final 80 out of over 4,000 children who started the competition in Autumn 2023. Bravo 👏

Welcome back! It was wonderful to see how happy the children were to be back in school last week. We're delighted to have retained our The UK Association for Music Education: Music Mark Music Mark School this year, given in recognition of a commitment to providing a high-quality music education for all children.🎺

We are delighted to have new sport surfaces at both Webb's and Meteor and know that they will significantly improve the children's P.E. lessons and play times. This project is fully funded by BellevillePTA. We are hugely grateful to them, and to the Q1E Trust for their support.

We were delighted to welcome visitors from Taiwan to two of our Q1E Trust schools, Belleville School and Belleville Wix. The delegation was here to look at examples of excellence in the English school system. We enjoyed the opportunity to share experiences and make new connections.

We're very proud of our Year 5 and 6 children who took part in the Wandsworth cross country this week. We have three children going through to represent Wandsworth in the London Youth Games, who finished 1st, 2nd and 5th in their races.

Thank you to everyone who donated coats to the BellevillePTA collection for HandsOn London 8 huge sacks were collected which will be distributed amongst multiple front line charities, including homelessness organisations, refugees and family centres.
