Yesterday's entertainment: an hour of strapping a mahoosive window to car roof bars in the blazing 35 degree heat, then driving an hour home in said non air conditioned car with window acting like a sail. Today: quivering.

Introduced the small one to Bruce Almighty last night. I dare anyone to dispute the fact that the scene where Steve Carell's anchorman moment goes awry is pure, ridiculous genius.

My passport application was posted on 7 August, France to Ireland, recorded & signed for. It was delivered today, 22 August. I reckon I could have walked there quicker and delivered it in person.

Being a shortarse, I've just had to adjust the hem on two pairs of trousers and a skirt to avoid them dragging on the ground. Learnings: - I can't cut straight - I can't iron for toffee - I have extremely low standards (just as well)

Hot sweaty weekend doing annoyingly boily things like weeding the drive and cutting back trees. I think I've had enough of outside for a bit.
