Fernando Fernando Benitez-Paez is at #AIUK in London + yesterday participated in the workshop on Resilient & Sustainable Cities discussing critical topics like land use policy impacts, data-driven mobility, digital twins and public engagement interventions 🏗️📷St Andrews Geography & SD
will be in St Andrews next week delivering a talk on the use of location data from digital platforms to study human mobility/migration sharing some of the work I've done w/ colleagues (inc. Dani Arribas-Bel `@[email protected]`, Miguel González-Leonardo, Carmen Cabrera-Arnau, Alessia Calafiore 🍉 @[email protected], Cait Robinson) over the years.
In our BEGIN Friday cake meeting today we were joined by colleagues from ECRG with Richard Streeter introducing the St Andrews Geography & SD drone fleet, inc. legal requirements, post-processing and using the drone remote sensing for teaching and research 🛩️🗺️🖥️
Yesterday Fernando Benitez-Paez was at Global Development Institute giving an interactive workshop exploring the critical role of spatial data in participatory planning 🏢🏗️ Themes included: data tools + technologies such as 15-minute cities, LTNs, and synthetic population data 🚦🚗🚶🏻♀️ St Andrews Geography & SD
Today we had another round of our BEGIN cake Friday meetings and our own Tania Mendo gave a very interesting presentation RE: developing a nation-wide monitoring system for small-scale fisheries 🛥️🎣 Thanks, Tania!
