Totem class have been learning some facts about penguins and arctic animals. They have also been learning about the life cycle of a penguin and labelled them. The children will have ice in the tuff tray to experience the cold environment.

Today in outdoor learning EYFS and KS1 made bird feeders to hang outside for the birds to visit our garden and playground. This was to celebrate the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch last week.

We are having a lovely, restful well-being hour to round off both the term and Children’s Mental Health Week. The children are enjoying activities focusing on who they can talk to, what makes them special and unique, some positive affirmations and, of course, a bit of cosmic yoga

KS2 had a lovely (if damp) morning doing our outdoor learning today! The children thoroughly enjoyed making bird feeders, toasting marshmallows and doing a mindful scavenger hunt. We also had some hot chocolate and biscuits and, best of all, jumped in some really muddy puddles!

Totem class are loving their topic work in Dinosaurs. The children shared facts about them and recalled the meaning of carnivores and herbivores. The children were given pictures of animals to sort into a hoop, dinosaurs, not dinosaurs. Great job, Totem!

⭐️Tala class Science experiment⭐️ We used white carnations and labelled parts of the plant, petals, buds, stem, leaves. Next we choose various coloured food colouring to put into each cup. If you look closely, the teal colour is already coming through on the petals!
