We are reading a book called Lizzie & Lucky and the mystery of the missing puppies in Guided Reading. We have been predicting what will happen to the stolen puppies this morning. #ReadingatOrchard Orchard Primary

For NSPCC Number Day, we have had 3 activities which incorporate Maths in the curriculum. First up, we had our Orchard Tesco. We were given 100p and we had buy ourselves a healthy shop. #NumberDay2024 Orchard Primary

This morning after our pre knowledge for length and height, we had some practise of drawing lines in cm using a ruler to prepare ourselves for our learning in this unit. We practised using our ruler correctly and starting on the 0 line. #MathsatOrchard Orchard Primary

I’m Guided Reading, we have been practising performing poetry. This poem was called The Hungry Fire and was all about The Great Fire of London, which is our History topic. We were practising using expression for the negative language. #ReadingatOrchard Orchard Primary

This week we were lucky enough to have some parents and carers come and join us for our Foundation Stay and Learn. We learned what plants need to survive and we had help to set up an experiment. Orchard Primary

This afternoon we have been learning about Emily Davidson for our influential people unity afternoon. We have been sending and receiving emails from an Emily Davidson bot, creating posters and protest banners in our learning all about the suffragette movement.

Today in forest school 2 beech made obstacle courses using natural resources found in our woodland area.🍃🌳

Last Thursday was world languages day! In 2 Beech we were learning Spanish greetings and colours 🇪🇸

Today in forest school we have been putting together all of our creating and building skills from all of our forest lessons. Some of our class have even created shelters with food for Miss Reaney to sleep in tonight!
