Diocese of Leeds 1 of 2 Get down to Bedale tomorrow afternoon where both women’s and men’s race complete a stage. The church starts the day with prayers for all involved in the race, then rings a peel to announce the start, opens its doors and provides refreshments in a ministry of welcome

Mowbray School having a once in a lifetime opportunity to cycle across the Tour de Yorkshire 🚴 finish line in #Bedale.

The exciting finish to the women's Tour de Yorkshire 🚴 brought spectators of all ages out to the streets of #Bedale earlier. From 2-year-old Jasmine (ably assisted by dad Callum!) to Jim, 90, and Ed, 93. And they've still got the men's race to look forward to! #TdY #WTDY

.Mowbray School taking center stage with a flash mob on the #TdY finish line in #Bedale. Staff and students encouraged the crowed so sign "Bedale loves cycling" with them in #Makaton after the town gained Makaton friendly status in time for the #TourdeYorkshire.

Very pleased and proud that day2 of TdY ended in Bedale today , town near where I have lived and worked almost all my life, and that the town did the business for locals, visitors and the race itself. Go Bedale! and wait for future visitors to come. What an event! What publicity!

Great news that Bedale has been awarded best dressed host town for this year’s Tour de Yorkshire. Well deserved recognition for the great effort put in by the town! I’m told visitors are saying that they are calling in because they saw the town on tv.
