Cambridge is full of ghosts for me. I hadn't been back in many years. So much of academia is toxic, and parts of Cambridge reek of that to me. But there are also happy memories between the ancient cobbles, and good friendships withstand the test of time.

I almost never come on here, but the news of Colin Renfrew's death moved me to look at my bookshelf and revisit some of his books. And as I did that, I also thought about his frequent collaborator, Iain Morley. Two great minds who are dearly missed.
