🧵Today on the last day of #SIDS4 we hosted an event to celebrate #SIDS leadership in the #RaceForRatification and collectively commit to a symbolic declaration to ensure the #HighSeasTreaty enters into force as soon as possible.

So heartening to be surrounded by the strength, leadership and passion of #SIDS demonstrating action to ratify the #HighSeasTreaty to ensure it can protect our global ocean & all of us that depend on it. 🙌🌊💙 We encourage other nations from the global north to move as swiftly!

In our regional 🇮🇳 workshop, 11 Southeast Asia countries representatives identified the priority support needed to facilitate the signing & ratification of the #BBNJ Agreement. We are looking forward to strengthening these efforts in the upcoming national consultations!
