Disabled people [should] have the right to exist in public. Disabled people [should] have the right to protest. Don't tell us that if we need a mask for health reasons, we shouldn't exist in public. Don't use us for your anti-mask argument, your fascism, your eugenics.

We know that both racism and ableism are rampant. People seem to accept that. But when I call out specific people for being racist or ableist, I get called an abuser or manipulative or violent or toxic. Especially when the people are left leaning. People wanna excuse it.

I think people are talking about it a lot, often in horribly ableist and inaccurate ways that demonizes folks with brain injury and similar conditions

Significant others and family members pushing disabled people to go past their limits and making them feel awful when they can’t is emotional abuse. You just aren’t ready to hear that yet.
