Okay maybe we made those numbers up. But we do know, athletes who engage with consistent strength & conditioning practices notice: - Increased performance - Faster recovery - Less sport related injuries. - More confidence on and off the field - Better body composition & so on

In as little as 7d untrained, strength and speed will begin to decline. Although athletes are practicing and playing games consistently they are not actually achieving max speed or strength very often in sports. This is where a sound S&C program can play a huge role.
