Day 1 of "Retirement" Clean out bedroom drawers, cabinets, boxes under bed. 1. Filled 1 large garbage can 2. Loaded Ebay with about $5,000 worth of items 3. Found a ton of old thumb/external drives containing 34,000+ family pictures Let's see what Day 2 brings

Why are we humans teaching/training AI to create art (drawings, paintings, music, poetry, etc)? these are the things WE should be aspiring to. I’d rather AI balance my finances, take out the trash, clean the pool & let me spend more time playing guitar, not the other way around

Well, after 3 months of doctor visits and tests, I finally have the answer for why I am always in so much pain. Not looking forward to more surgery, but I’ll be damned if it’s going to slow me down.

An unintended consequence of being a stay-at-home husband with a wife who works from home. She forgets I'm in my office/music studio upstairs. She's downstairs...singing and dancing at her desk. in 27 years, I have not heard her sing. What else will I learn??

I really, REALLY, hate gas-powered leaf blowers. There are two of them in the neighborhood that have been going non-stop for 90 minutes. And the sound starts oscillating in quadrophonic stereo in my head. Activates tinnitus and a massive headache. Begone with you, yard crews

Alrighty then. How many devices in house are going to go off due to NWEAS "National Alert" test? Forgot I had my spare phone in a drawer charger. 7 phones going off at different times around the house. Even more fun with a skittish Malinois that is bolting in every direction

How did my morning go? Them blowing up phone: "Are you joining the meeting?!" "We need you in the meeting ASAP!" Me (doing my 3 mile jog): What f*ing meeting. My calendar was clear until this evening. Them: we just scheduled it and need you now Me: Suurrrrre

What is a big mistake? Eating jalapenos while multi-tasking...and forgetting, then rubbing your poor, tired eyes after 45 minutes of reviewing an IRP. I think I am temporarily blind. Both the dog and the spouse are finding this funny

I never imagined how much I would be working once I "retired". These last 30 days have been crazy. I may as well retire from being retired. Anyone want a 25+ year veteran of IT Ops and Security who knows how to lead and motivate people?

My life Lessons - Raising kids I have/am raising 4 kids (19 to 32) Each of them cannot be more different. I have no idea how they evolved to who they are, yet I see similarities of me in each of them. As much as I try to help them, I have learned to just roll with what they need

Well, what the hell has been happening since I became a grandfather 30 days ago? BTW, I'm a young grandfather, but that still sounds weird. a 30-day social media break felt great for the blood pressure.

I keep thinking that 30 years of experience in Tech, IT, Security, Product Management, Service Mgmt, must be worth writing about for someone. I am just overwhelmed and underwhelmed by this at the same time. Would anyone care? How do I get started writing content?
