This year marks the 120th anniversary of the Newport Bermuda Race and the 100th anniversary of the Cruising Club of America’s partnership with the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in co-organizing the race. It remains a volunteer-run event. 👏 👏 👏

⚡ Fun Fact Friday The true greats are recorded in the history books. MALABAR is one of them. John Alden designed and sailed the Malabar schooner series himself, securing wins and notoriety in the Gulf Stream. In 1923, 1926, and 1932, the Malabars won the Overall Title 🏆.

Planning a 100th Anniversary? No problem for the CCA and RBYC! The two groups recently got together to start planning the milestone race. It rises to a new level in 2026 as we celebrate 100 years of partnership and camaraderie that really embodies the spirit of yacht racing.

It is hard to believe we are just over 6️⃣ months away from the start of the 2026 Newport Bermuda Race. 100 years of partnership between the CCA 🤝 RBYC have made this race one of the most storied events in the yachting world. We wish you a happy and restful Thanksgiving!
