'If there’s a desire to avoid the (unwarranted) weaponization of history, I believe that’s a vindication of our use of well-researched arguments. But when we do get to have our say, when the debate is over, things can’t just continue as before.' Stuart O'Hara

This is nonsensical. One can't "give away" what was never yours to begin with. But the law says if the relics are "unfit to retain" they can be de-accessioned. The UK govt & Cullinan share the same problem - a lack of courage & political imagination.

British Committee (BCRPM) British Museum El País English Edition do respect Dr Cullinan but some artefacts just need our collective, global respect and the Parthenon Marbles have a gallery that allows all to view them as they deserve to be seen.... it would restore that sense of respect the world is so in need of at the moment too.
