Australia has had an enormous 338% increase in total shoulder replacements since 2008. A new project by Prof Richard Page from the Barwon Health B-CORE team has been given $1.54 million to drive critical research. Read below bit.ly/3FXXiUU

The #AOAASM21 research plenary has concluded, with presentations on the #AOANJRR annual report, patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and clinical trials, as well as updates from the Australian & New Zealand Hip Fracture Registry

#AOAASM21 has concluded, with Annette Holian becoming AOA’s first female president. We thank immediate past President Michael Gillespie for an outstanding year of leadership in difficult circumstances. We welcome Michael A Johnson to the presidential line, as he becomes 2nd VP.

In addition to Annette's contributions to Australian orthopaedics, now as AOA’s first female president, she serves in the ADF and as a governor of the Shrine of Remembrance. This morning Annette laid a wreath at a ceremony reflecting on 21 years of service in the 21st century.
